As a Cielo Senior Recruiter/ Talent Partner you will be responsible for service excellence throughout the recruitment cycle. You will act as a brand ambassador for the client, focusing on delivering exceptional talent while providing proactive and timely communication on the status of the search. As a subject matter expert in talent acquisition, you will provide consultative direction and industry expertise to hiring leaders. You will act as a mentor for Recruiters and other team members.
Work Location: 2-3 days onsite in Laval, Canada and remaining days working remotely
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week - Regular day shift
Languages: English & French fluency is essential - Written & Verbal
Specific requirements:
- Candidates will have a proven background to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment, lead strategic and consultative conversations, demonstrating strong critical thinking, confidently challenging where appropriate and have the ability to manage the full end‑to‑end offer process when required.
- Experience within the Life Sciences sector is advantageous; however, strong candidates from other industries with proven experience in complex, matrixed organizations will be considered.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead detailed intake meetings with hiring managers to determine position specifications, providing relevant market data and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments to develop and manage recruitment marketing and sourcing strategies.
- Evaluate candidate profiles against position requirements and deliver strong candidate slates, while building talent pipelines.
- Keep candidates engaged throughout the process with timely updates on their progress.
- Partner with hiring leaders to determine offer details, using market data and compensation guidelines to support recommendations.
- Mentor Recruiters and other team members.
- You'll support a broad range of functions spanning: Pharma and Diagnostics Commercial, Technical and Development teams (manufacturing and quality control) Group Functions (Informatics, Finance, HR, Communications, Procurement) and Computational Sciences..
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources or related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years or more year’s results-oriented recruiting experience working in an in-house, RPO or agency setting (or 5+ years in a complex matrixed environment)
- Good understanding of compensation principles and cost of labor within Canada
Exposure:
- Ability to showcase niche segment or industry expertise and employ technologies in the recruiting process that create efficiencies.
- Adhere to documentation and processes for compliance.
- Experience utilizing deep web sourcing techniques via various platforms.
- Familiarity with recruitment technologies such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (Workday & Phenom People)
- Critical thinking - we're looking for Critical thinkers who look beyond operational processes and can challenge stakeholders in their thinking
- Accountability & Sound Judgement – you’ll become an ambassador for the client brand where you’ll represent yourself professionally aligning with social media policies
