Job Description

Do you have experience leading audits, owning month-end close activities, and navigating complex accounting matters? We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team and help deliver accurate financial reporting while driving continuous improvement.

The Senior Accounting Analyst is a key member of the global finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate and complete accounting records for Cielo NA and supporting the Group’s financial reporting, consolidation, and US audit requirements.

The role operates within a multi-currency, global environment, oversees the timely completion of the monthly financial close and provides analytical and operational support across key accounting activities, account reconciliations, and local tax requirements.

Working collaboratively with global finance teams and business stakeholders, the Senior Accounting Analyst ensures the integrity of financial information, supports compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls, and contributes to a consistent and efficient global reporting process.

Location: United States of America - must have right to live and work in US.

Work set up: Hybrid - weekly 1 day in office / Remote home based set up other days  

Languages: Fluent English essential 

Responsibilities:  

Lead and coordinate the annual external audit, managing schedules, auditor requests, cross-functional responses, and timely completion of deliverables.

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Own the month-end close process for assigned areas, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and Company policies.

Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset lifecycle activities, depreciation, and capitalization compliance.

Administer lease accounting (ASC 842), maintaining lease schedules, accounting entries, modifications, and disclosures.

Prepare consolidation entries and intercompany eliminations, supporting the monthly global consolidation process.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and related reporting packages.

Research and evaluate accounting treatment for complex transactions and prepare supporting documentation.

Support internal controls and accounting policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, automation, and reporting effectiveness.

Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Support special projects, including system implementations, acquisitions, and process improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience managing external audits required.
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting and lease accounting (ASC842) required
  • Experience with multi-entity / multi-currency consolidations preferred
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or Oracle-based ERP systems preferred
  • Good understanding of US GAAP

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
